Pelabuhan Buana Reja

PBR operates a port located in Sebamban Baru, South Kalimantan which covers an area of 27 hectares of land. The port is equipped with 900-meter-wide conveyor facilities to facilitate the coal loading process and with two sea berths which can accommodate 300-feet barges (8,000 metric tons). The port is located approximately 25 kilometers from TIA’s concession area. Such condition creates short loading distance and lower transportation expenses. The nearby location and easy access of mining site in the barge loading facilities and to the customers in Asia and India will then reduce the coal delivery expenses and will in turn create certain competitive advantages.

On 25 July 2011, PBR obtained Port Business License issued by Ministry of Transportation. The port infrastructure was ready and operated at the end of 2011 with the capacity of 5 million metric tons per annum. At present PBR port still focus on supporting TIA business activities. PBR is projected to develop as a provider of integrated coal port services which cover the following:

  • Stockpiling management, including stockpile or reserves with the capacity of 120,000 metric tons;
  • Coal crushing through crushing plant with the output capacity reaching 750 metric tons of coal crushes per hour;
  • Loading of 900-meter conveyor with the capacity of 5 million metric tons per annum and jetty loading.
